Kafkas Orient Bazaar from Munich are not part of a new generation of bands. They are neither spearhead nor follower in a movement conquering the music world for the millionth time. Their territory spans from Indie via Hardcore to Electropop, but they move their own way, defying gridlocked conventions. Their intuitive handling of various genres leaps out at the listener: the playfulness of indie rock, the catchyness of pop, the raw energy of hardcore and the interspersion of electronic sounds make an explosive dance music mixture.

On the new EP „Weitergehen“ („To Move On“), the band presents three new songs, all in German this time; typically, the band's repertoire also comprises songs in English and Turkish. The EP, that is free to download for everyone, is meant as a teaser. In the last two years, the four young lads from Munich have evolved distinctly and want to share their achievements by now, before the new album will be released in winter.

Even if the EP has only three songs, a wide range of styles is being presented. The lyrical I stomps its way through a collapsing building in „Gefängnis“ („Prison“), navigating between thick walls of guitar. „Stillstand“ („Standstill“) teleports the listener to a late-summer hangover, wistfully reflecting the past days of sunshine. „Nach Oben“ („Up“) is a lively plea for a badly needed change of plans.

All in all, the band's general direction for the new album is evident: more stirring and relatable, yet still unpredictable, loud and unique.
